Supporting the transition of our young hearts and minds
At Bishop Druitt College, we believe every student is both unique and wonderfully made, with incredible gifts waiting to be discovered. We're seeking a passionate Transition & Engagement Coordinator who shares our vision of nurturing young hearts and minds through those pivotal middle school years.
If you're an experienced educational leader who sees the spark in every Year 6-8 student, and believes in the power of authentic relationships and character development to transform lives, we'd love to meet you!
This role calls for an exceptional and experienced middle school leader who is both intuitive and a great listener to ensure students and our parent/carer community are supported through this transitional period of their schooling lives.
This role calls for the following unique skills;
Bridge Builder;

- Create a middle school culture where every student feels valued, heard, and empowered
- Turn nervous Year 6s into confident Year 8 leaders who are ready to take on the world
A Champion for Student Wellbeing;
- Put student voice at the center of everything you do
- Design programs that celebrate each student's unique journey
- Use restorative practices that heal hearts and build character
- Create a service-learning program that shows students how they can make a difference
Purposeful Innovator;
- Blend cutting-edge technology with timeless values
- Develop digital citizenship that goes beyond screen time
- Design celebrations that showcase not just achievement, but growth and character
- Build leadership opportunities that reflect our Round Square ideals
Community Connector;
- Be the friendly face families trust during transition times
- Organize events that bring our school community together
- Partner with both primary and secondary colleagues to create seamless pathways
- Support parents as they navigate their child's middle school journey
If you approach challenges with grace, wisdom, and a solutions-focused mindset, have a genuine love for the unique energy and possibilities of middle schoolers, and believe every child is created with purpose and potential, then we'd love to hear from you. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who share our Anglican values and appreciate our inclusive, faith-based approach to education and creating world prepared citizens.
Candidates are required to hold Australian teaching qualifications with NSW registration (NESA), have 5+ years of middle years teaching experience, plus 3+ years of student leadership experience (middle years preferred).
Bring your high emotional intelligence, natural empathy, resilience, innovative mindset, collegiality and open mindedness, along with your middle school magic to our table.
